Subha is a passionate public health medical specialist who has been involved in a wide range of public health initiatives which have a strong health inequality focus. Prior to moving to New Zealand in 2018, she has held roles across local government, central government and the private sector in the UK which has included working on outbreaks, vaccine development, major incidents, health service improvements, digital initiatives and innovative asset based approaches to public health such as those involving museums and civic spaces.
At present she works for Auckland and Waitemata Planning and Funding with a wide portfolio around ‘Women, Children and Youth’ as well as ‘Healthy Lifestyles’. She is also currently supporting the COVID-19 response through the Northern Regional Health Coordination Centre and Auckland Regional Public Health Service.
