Ron Lal

Co-founder, Momentum NZ

Ron is a Fiji born Indian who moved to New Zealand when he was five and grew up in Grey Lynn, Auckland.  After finishing University, he decided to travel the world which took him to some interesting places such as Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and South Korea. He has a  18 years’ experience of owning businesses and working in corporate world, both in private and public sectors. Before co-founding his current business Momentum NZ, he worked as a Business and Innovation Advisor at Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED), tasked with growing Auckland’s economic sector by helping SME’s. Ron also has been and is part of a number of key initiatives across Auckland that deliver a positive change in the business and entrepreneurship sector.

Ron now leads Momentum NZ, a design thinking and customer centric business consultancy with the purpose of reducing the failure rate of SME’s across New Zealand,  by delivering guidance, tools and resources on not only on starting a business but how to run and grow sustainably.
