Raj is a planner, innovator and motivator.

Raj has experience of professional practice of over 15 years in New Zealand and Nepal. He held the role of senior planner at Auckland Council when he decided to go for private practice in 2017 to start his own consulting firm, iSolutions Consultants.

Raj is the founding President of the Help Nepal Network New Zealand, which is the New Zealand chapter of the global and largest Nepali charity organisation with networks in 14 countries. He is the former president (2015-17) of the New Zealand Nepalese Association. Raj is a board member (2019-21) of the New Zealand Nepal Chamber of Commerce. He serves in advisory roles in a number of Nepali community organisations.

Raj is a board of trustee (2019-21) of Swanson School, and a board member (2019-21) of the Waitakere Ethnic Board.

Raj has a Msc in International Development from the University of Copenhagen, and Master of Planning Practice from the University of Auckland (with honours).
