In2Excellence is a New Zealand owned consultancy company that specialises in delivery of Business Change, Project and Programme Management services.
Prashanta has over 30 years’ experience in service development, operational delivery, line management and project management. He is a highly skilled and experienced business change, project and programme professional with a career spanning from software development, through strategy, to business cases and implementation of business change. He is also well versed in Governance – having personally served on boards, trusts, ministerial advisory groups, NZQA accreditation panel and industry bodies. He is formally qualified in Treasury Better Business Case methodology and the associated Gateway Review regime. He is also a certified IT professional.
Prashanta graduated from University of Delhi (Gold Medal) with honours and is an alumnus of the Ernst & Young Darden Executive Programme. He holds dual citizenship of India and New Zealand. He has held senior management positions in Operations, Marketing, Product Management and Business Unit Management at Indian and New Zealand companies, such as NIIT and CMC (part of Tata Consultancy Services), Oracle, Ernst and Young and IBM Corporation.
Prashanta excels at managing stakeholder relationships, including Senior Leaders, delivery partners, monitoring agencies, suppliers and vendors. His working style is characterised by influence and negotiation. He brings a wealth of insight to his work, from his career and consultancy engagements with the likes of Oracle, Ernst and Young, Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment, Fonterra, Ministry of Justice, Beef and Lamb New Zealand, Housing New Zealand, Ministry of Transport, Wellington and Auckland City Councils, Transpower, Plant and Food Research, Mighty River Power and Airways Corporation. He
Prashanta actively contributes his time and professional expertise to the social enterprise sector, having served as the founding trustee for The Big Idea Trust for more than a decade. He is currently on the Board of Trustees of The Children’s Grief Centre Charitable Trust (www.skylight.org.nz) and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.
He is a member of the Institute of Directors, TUANZ, Institute of IT Professionals NZ, ACM (USA) and NZ Asian Leaders.
