Pierre Wong

Solicitor, Bell Gully

Pierre was born and bred in the small South Otago town of Balclutha to parents Nelson and Jackie, both of Chinese ethnicity.

Pierre holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Economics, from the University of Otago. He is a practising lawyer at the firm Bell Gully. Pierre has a have a wide range of experience including advising on corporate, regulatory, and competition aspects of large national and multi-jurisdictional transactions and investigations.

Outside of the law Pierre is passionate about the outdoors, the environment, and  giving back to the community. During both his academic and professional career has held various volunteer roles such as acting as a consultant under the Ignite Consultancy programme, volunteering at the Citizens Advice Bureau in Northland, and at the Community Law Centre in Dunedin.

As a member of NZAL, Pierre looks forward to promoting and supporting Asian leaders throughout NZ.
