Mei Koh

Mei Koh has a strong financial and banking background with over 20 years of experience. Her career includes Priority Banker, Wealth Adviser at Westpac, leading role at NZ Funds Management Financial Services Support team and Store Manager at BNZ. As part of her commitment to the financial industry she dedicated a number of years to the IFA Certified financial Plannercm mentoring programme where she successfully mentored a number of Financial Planners. Mei is also a representative member of the BNZ Diversity and Inclusion council and a co-lead on the BNZ Asian Employee Resource Community.
Mei’s leadership style is consultative and collaborative with a focus on developing and empowering others to achieve a united objective. Mei believes that in whatever she embarks on she wants to make a difference. This is especially so when she’s been given the privilege to lead, nurture and develop a team. She believes in being an authentic leader and the importance of leading by example.
When face with any challenges, she will endeavour to give it a go. She has always live by a quote from Henry Ford, if you think you can do it or if you think you can’t you’re right.
Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Mei migrated to NZ with her family in the early 90’s. Mei thinks that growing up in a foreign country and being the minority in her class during her high school years gave her an appreciation of the value of diversity and the importance of inclusion.
She believes in cultivating a workplace that strongly promotes diversity and inclusion which will lead to a far superior performing culture. This is her passion and where she believes she can make the difference.
