Lucy Wu

Lucy is currently supporting general practices around Auckland in a practice nurse capacity through the ProCare network and the COVID response where possible. She has a specialisation in public health with a Masters in Public Health from the University of Eastern Finland. She has also recently joined the Board of Trustees for the Auckland Trade Aid Trust to support the fair-trade movement. She immigrated to New Zealand from China with her parents at the age of 3 and has lived in Auckland for majority of her life. She is passionate about well designed services that are fit for purpose, particularly those that have a positive impact on people’s wellbeing. A main driver for her is help the world be a more equitable and safe place for all. This has lead her to pursue a variety of roles in the health sector as well as volunteer in Uganda in public health, the Canary Islands in marine conservation and with Zeal, Auckland, in their Online Crisis Internvention project to provide brief mental health intervention through Instagram. In her personal time she loves to cook, tries to grow food and practice aerial silks.
