Karen leads Vodafone New Zealand’s consumer segment strategy for tourism and multi-cultural communities; accountable for developing and implementing leading marketing strategies to grow Vodafone’s customer base and revenue.
Karen is passionate about the international community in New Zealand and leverages her experience of working with people across different countries, cultures and ethnic backgrounds, in her current role at Vodafone.
Her commitment to cultural inclusion recently saw Karen receive the global Vodafone ‘Women in Red’ award. The award recognises inspiring women who have taken significant action to promote diversity and inclusion, and are seen as role models within the organisation.
Prior to Vodafone, Karen was the Mobile Product Manager at TelstraClear New Zealand, responsible for developing and executing the mobile strategy across Consumer and Business segments.
Before settling down in New Zealand, Karen spent over six years with EXL Service Ltd, India – a leading operations management and analytics company, headquartered in New York, USA. She headed up a 200 person business unit, managing customer service teams and corporate accounts; with end-to-end commercial accountability including transformation and operations.
Karen has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Marketing and Advertising and is also a trained Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt (Motorola University) with expertise in transformation and process improvement.
