Strategic and business planning, selecting and implementing suitable information systems, liaising with banks and funding agencies, advising on governance procedures and policies, human resource matters, company secretarial matters including insurances, Health and safety and developing investment strategy, due diligence, business acquisitions and divestment and liaising with external auditors, statutory reporting including group consolidation and taxation. This also involves the preparation of board papers and attendance at Board Meetings.

I’ve had the privilege of closely working with a number of IWI Organisations pre and post Treaty Claims Settlements, as well as those involved with the provision of health and social services, Early child hood educations and the recent setting up of one of the first Partnership schools in the country.

Major accomplishments were serving as a Director of Housing Company, due diligence and acquisition of business opportunity and the setting up of various legal entities to manage settlement proceeds.

My current governance roles include:
• Trustee of He Puna Marama Trust, an organisation involved in the provision of Early Child Hood Education and the Leadership Academy for potential young Maori leaders as well as operating one of the initial Partnership schools.
• Board member of Northern Rugby League.
• Chairperson of the Northland Athletics Trust
