Han Li

Solicitor, Simpson Grierson

Han is a solicitor at Simpson Grierson. A Chinese New Zealander, he aspires to help the Asian community in New Zealand get ahead both in business and culture.

Han is a former chair and current advisor to the NZCTA Young Associates. The NZCTA Young Associates aim to connect young New Zealanders with an interest in China with each other by hosting events, workshops and internships.

Previously, Han was the Chief Marketing Officer of Onzo, where he helped them expand into Wellington and double their user base. During uni, he and his friends ran Tutor House, a private tutoring firm. Tutor House had over 100 tutors around Auckland and was a finalist at the David Awards in 2016 before being acquired by another firm.

Han is a member of the Asia New Zealand Foundation Leadership Network. He holds an BA/LLB (Hons) from the University of Auckland. His honours dissertation was a legal history of the Poll Tax on Chinese Immigrants to Australia and New Zealand.
