Garry is a marketing and communications consultant and an entrepreneur, with over 20 years of experience in media and marketing, in both India and New Zealand.
He founded the Migrant Careers Support Trust in 2019, a non-profit charitable trust.
The trust aims to achieve social equity, inclusion and social cohesion by better economic integration of people from the ethnic communities, in the New Zealand society. This trust is a mission, to share the knowledge and experience of all the successful migrant professionals, with the new and upcoming professionals, to help them excel in their field.
He started his marketing agency by the name of Media Solutions Kiwi Ltd., in 2015. Armed with a Certificate in Digital Marketing from the Marketing Association of NZ, he provides solutions to SMEs by using various digital media, marketing tools and events. He has been an integral part of some big community events like The Kiwi Indian Hall of Fame, and Bollywood mega events like the Shahrukh Khan Show, Salman Khan Show and the AR Rahman Concert.
A migrant from India, Garry came to New Zealand in 2009 and started his career in the film industry. He moved to marketing and growth of some big community media brands in Auckland, covering radio, print and digital media.
Garry has been the Secretary of the India New Zealand Business Council, since 2013 and helps in running the day-to-day affairs of the Council, including events, marketing, communications and publications.
Garry also sits on the board of the Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust.
