By Carolyn Luey, GM Enterprise Solutions and New Zealand, MYOB
My new role at MYOB is GM Enterprise Solutions and New Zealand based in Auckland. I am part of the MYOB executive team and responsible for the leadership of MYOB in New Zealand. MYOB is the one of the biggest technology companies listed on the ASX and is focused on helping businesses succeed, we offer online accounting, payroll and business management solutions including cloud based ERP for small up to large businesses across Australia and New Zealand.
MYOB in New Zealand revenue grew by 23% in 2016 to $67m through a combination of acquisition and organic growth. We have almost 400 people across 2 offices in Auckland and Christchurch and I am proud to say that it is one of the most diverse work forces I have worked in, representative of the multi-cultural make up of New Zealand. It is also one of the most progressive workplace environments I have worked in – with a strong culture and team engagement which enables flexible working and MYOB has invested to create a vibrant and modern workplace with all the best technology to enable remote working and collaboration across offices. We are focused on supporting the local business community and helping them shift to the cloud so they can take advantage of the benefits that it enables; work from anywhere, less manual admin, making compliance easier and greater visibility of cashflow in real time.
We recently hosted a yum char to celebrate the year of the rooster with the local Chinese business, accounting practices and community leaders to grow our engagement with the Chinese business community and demonstrate our support to help and enables its growth.
