11 new NZAL members

The Chair of NZAL and the Advisory Board are delighted to welcome 11 new members to NZ Asian Leaders. As an organisation, our strength is in our membership and with these new additions, our ability to contribute to NZ Inc increases!

Our new members come from a range of fields – from perfume manufacturing in London, to supplying lunch to school children throughout NZ, from arriving in this country as a refugee at the age of 14 to being a war reporter in a previous role, there is no dearth of experience or knowledge with this cohort that includes:

Mitchell Pham – Director, Augen Software Group

Mitchell Pham is a Vietnamese-Kiwi business & social entrepreneur.  He is a Co-founder, Director and head of Sales & Marketing of the Augen Software Group in New Zealand, as well as Chairman & Director of their operation in Vietnam.

Lisa King – Founder, Eat My Lunch

After 15 years working in large FMCGs, marketing some of the country’s biggest food brands, Lisa decided to put her corporate experience towards doing something that would make a positive impact in the community.

Christopher Yu – Director, United Perfumes Ltd, London

Christopher practised tax law at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Wellington prior to moving to London in 2000. In 2002 Christopher left the City where he worked as a solicitor in investment banking to start a niche fragrance distribution business for luxury candle pioneer Diptyque. (…)

Ray Li – Head of International Banking, ASB Bank

Ray has eleven years financial service experience in Retail Banking Leadership, Wealth Management, Corporate Superannuation and Share Registry. (…)

Shelley Huang – External Communications Manager, IAG NZ

Shelley Huang is a media engagement strategist for 14 years and she is also passionate in diversity and inclusion development through cross-cultural communication. She grew up in China and came to New Zealand for her Master studies and then fall in love with the country since. (…)

Gordon Yep Tarm – Senior Associate, Institutional Banking, BNZ

As a Senior Associate in the BNZ’s Institutional team, Gordon advises New Zealand’s largest consumer corporates in relation to their financing requirements. (…)

Dr Kam Weng Yuen – Associate Structural Engineering, Beca

Kam combines a technical rigor with a keen understanding of the economics drivers and project commercials to achieve best outcome for his clients. Kam is establishing himself as a technical expert in seismic and structural engineering both within Beca and New Zealand-wide by applying and disseminating state-of-the-art practice to Beca projects and industry technical groups. Nick Chan – Senior Manager, China Construction Banking (NZ) Ltd

Nick Chan was born and raised in Auckland with parents from Hong Kong and Singapore. Nick holds a conjoint BA/BCom degree from The University of Auckland and has pursued a career in Trade Finance banking and advisory services to assist both exporters and importers. (…)

Karen Roncon – International Segment Marketing Manager, Vodafone NZ

Karen leads Vodafone New Zealand’s consumer segment strategy for tourism and multi-cultural communities; accountable for developing and implementing leading marketing strategies to grow Vodafone’s customer base and revenue. (…)

Honary Ng – Associate Director, China Construction Banking (NZ) Ltd

Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but raised in Auckland, New Zealand, Honary is a graduate of The University of Auckland (conjoint Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and Arts) and is an experienced banking and financial advisory professional. (…)
