This year, NZAL has made a commitment to engage and capture the stories of New Zealand’s diverse population in the regions throughout New Zealand.
NZAL Chair Mai Chen launched the inaugural NZAL regional session which was held in Hawkes Bay April 6, 2017, where more than 50 leaders gathered to discuss ‘Diversity in Business in Hawkes Bay’. The event was hosted and facilitated by NZAL Advisory Board member and CE, FutureCOL, Bharat Guha and supported by Hastings District Council and Hastings City Business Association.
Three key speakers included leaders within local business and community – Jack Wu, Managing Director, Paritua Vineyards and Winery Ltd, Jenny Too, President, NZ Chinese Association – Hawkes Bay Branch and Henry Heke, TV personality.
The speakers shared key insights on the true essence of the Hawkes Bay region and why they continue to support the community and celebrate diversity – good for the community and good for business.
NZAL look forward to returning to the Hawkes Bay region in 2018. Other sessions in the region this year will include Christchurch.
