Tianyuan Qu

Founder, Mobileyes Eyecare Limited

Tian is an optometrist passionately serving his community in Christchurch. He founded the
Mobileyes to bring eye care to the doorstep of the elderlies, Asian community and local maraes.
Tian also works as a mandarin interpreter to bridge the language barrier and help the Chinese
community to access medical and legal services.
Tian completed his BOptom(Hon) degree from The University of Auckland. He is the winners of
The national scholarship exam 2009 – outstanding scholar award (New Zealand top 60),
Faculty of medical health science summer student research scholarship, Paul Dunlop
Summer Research Scholarship NZAO, and Raymond Harry Hawkin Prize 2014 for Best
research project in advanced optometry research for his research in colour vision.
In his free time, Tian enjoys public speaking. He is an active member of the Toastmaster
international. He served as area E5 director in Christchurch and as the vice-president of Public
relation for his clubs.
To keep fit, Tian plays badminton with his wife and father-in-law every week.
