Teresa Lee

President, UN Youth Auckland

Teresa is completing a Bachelor of Laws and Commerce at the University of Auckland. As a young female Chinese-New Zealander, she is driven by a desire to inspire other youth in New Zealand to discover their potential, step out of their comfort zones and become global citizens in whatever field they wish.

This passion emerged from the vast range of opportunities she has taken on. This has included being Jacinda Ardern’s Youth MP to the Head Prefect of ACG Senior College to performing in an all-female Pop Up Globe show.

Teresa is the President of UN Youth Auckland. UN Youth is the largest youth for youth organisation in Aoteaora. Our goal is to equip young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to be critical global citizens. We engage rangatahi through hosting workshops, conferences and events focussing on the most pressing affairs affecting our world.

Additionally, Teresa is the Human Resources Manager for the New Zealand China Trade Association Young Associates (NZCTA YA). Our mission is to strengthen trade relations between New Zealand and China by providing speaker events, networking events, internships and scholarships.
