Dr. Yeri Kim

Principal Health Intelligence and Insights Advisor, ACC

Solving problems to improve healthcare is a mix of passion and curiosity for Yeri.

She has a diverse background, starting as a biomedical scientist where she invented a new drug to target a global health burden (retinal diseases). To translate her invention, Yeri partnered with a university, a commercialisation firm and a biotechnology company for clinical trial testing in the USA.

Following her PhD, Yeri developed and implemented a framework that assesses the value of new health technologies for the largest private health insurance company in New Zealand. The framework informs decisions to achieve better health outcomes and cost-savings with the consumer at the centre.

Yeri is now a Principal Health Intelligence and Insights Advisor for ACC. Yeri advises on ACC’s strategic health objectives to improve health outcomes of ACC’s clients.

Yeri is dedicated to community work and is a volunteer for Girl Guides. Yeri empowers young girls and women to gain confidence in learning new skills, particularly in the outdoors and S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). Yeri is also an ambassador for Young Women in Finance (INFINZ) and is a member of Toastmasters International. Yeri is also a flautist with a Licentiate in Music (Distinction) from the Trinity College London.
