Arthur Chin

Director (International) at Massey University; New Zealand

The portfolios under his mandate include International relations; Marketing and Recruitment; Admissions and Operations & Risk.  Prior to joining Massey University Arthur was head of Asian banking for ANZ National, the largest public listed financial institution in New Zealand, and a wholly owned subsidiary of ANZ Group. His portfolios included strategic focus for international customers across 60 ANZ and National Bank branches supported by a multi-lingual Asian call centre and multi-lingual ATM network; Asian mortgage channels; oversight of the China-New Zealand student and migrant business development project; and, international strategy (retail) spanning a number of international destinations including Singapore, India, China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

Arthur has lived in various key cities in New Zealand for 18 years, and is fluent in English and Mandarin. He travels extensively throughout Asia and has worked on a number of collaborative projects with private, public and governmental agencies. His achievements in the banking industry have been recognised through a number of banking awards, and Arthur currently carries the post-nominal position of Fellow with FINSIA.
