Angela Chiu

Group Financial Controller, T&G Group

Angela has been the Group Financial Controller at T&G Group since early 2015. She leads the group reporting, financial accounting and shared services functions for the Group. Her main responsibilities include continuously streamlining finance processes and providing value-adding services to business and maximise efficiency within the finance team. She also oversees the monthly consolidated results for the Group and reporting to the parent company in Germany, and half year and year end reporting to the NZ stock exchange.

Angela is a New Zealand Chartered Accountant (CAANZ) with 18 years of experience in group reporting, financial accounting, treasury process improvement and change management in many large, multinational organisations both in both the private and public sectors.

She is passionate about helping young accounting students and provisional members of CAANZ to become chartered accountants and she has been actively promoting and advocating for training and coaching opportunities within T&G Group. She has also been involved in women’s mentoring programme run by University of Auckland Business School and CAANZ’s mentor exchange programme.

As T&G’s strategy is to become a more globally recognised brand for its fresh produce grown both locally and overseas, Angela is also actively involved in supporting T&G’s strategy to expand its business in Japan, China and southeast Asia.

Angela holds conjoint degrees in Bachelor of Arts and Commerce from University of Auckland. She was born in Taiwan and is fluent in Mandarin.
